We would love to take a moment to appreciate a school whose students, staff and parents have gone above and beyond to make a difference in the world. Crestridge Magnet School is an International Studies and Dual Language school in Omaha, Nebraska. Their mission is to provide a quality education so that all students are successful learners and responsible citizens with a global perspective. They have been recognized as an International Spanish Academy (ISAs) and were named a Magnet School of Distinction by Magnet Schools of America.
Crestridge has partnered with Global Parters in Hope for several years, raising money through various fundraising events. The students and staff have collaborated over the years to come up with new, creative ways to fund GPiH’s work in Africa. Between chili cook-offs, selling t-shirts, filling milk jugs, hosting soccer games, teacher talent shows, and many other creative ideas, Crestridge has raised thousands of dollars toward GPiH’s work in Mali and Togo, West Africa.
The creativity and passion of these students to serve and understand different parts of the world is truly incredible. We are thankful for Crestridge’s partnership and the commitment to involving students in making an impact. Check out the video below that highlights some of the ways that students have raised money in the past, and to see what it meant to them to be a part of it.
