Launching the First Online Leadership Program for Asia

Updated: May 15

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the water to create many ripples.” This inspiring quote was made by Mother Teresa and has definitely been one on our minds recently as we head full force into 2021. If you have been following along with us for a little while you know that we have been doing all that we can to change with the times, especially with technology having a much bigger impact on the education system. That is why we have teamed up with the Crown College Online Program!

We are so excited to announce that we will officially be launching the program this Spring! The program is called Transformational Leadership for the 21st Century and will be taught by a variety of experts. Don Young will be teaching the first session. Don has traveled to China with GPiH many times and taught leadership programs to over 3,500 students. Now he will be bringing his knowledge and experience online! The 8-week course can be done anytime, anywhere, making it accessible to students around the world! That means we will not only be focusing on reaching students in the USA, but in China, Taiwan, Myanmar, Thailand, and Hong Kong as well!

We could not make this possible without Crown College and its reputable online courses. Global Partners in Hope will be working closely with Laura Slezak, the Professional Development Coordinator at Crown College, on this program. We asked her about what she is excited about with this new online program, “I’m excited to partner with GPiH because we can bring Crown’s proven track record in online education to GPiH’s context of hands-on leadership training. The addition of an online platform to GPiH’s in-person training will enhance the training experience and enable GPiH to reach more learners in a way that is safe and effective in our current global climate.”

With your help and support, together, we will continue to be the change this world desperately needs. This is just the first ripple in the water and we cannot wait to see where it takes us.
